HISTORY OF RAINIER BEER
This beer is brewed by Rainier Brewery in Tumwater, Washington. Rainier was formerly owned by the Stroh’s Brewery Co., and was recently sold to Pabst (Feb 1999). Pabst, headquartered in San Antonio, owns such brands as Olympia, Falstaff, Ballantine, Lucky Lager and Pearl. They currently produce Old Milwaukee, Schaefer, Colt 45, Stroh's, Schlitz, Schmidt's, Pabst Blue Ribbon, in addition to Rainier.
Rainier Beer dates back to 1878, when Andrew Hemrich, a German immigrant, started the Seattle Brewing & Malting Company. When Prohibition ended in 1933, Canadian brewers Fritz and Emil Sick licensed the name, which was then owned by a California company. The Sicks' owned a brewery that was once a part of Canadian beer giant Molson, then later it became a publicly traded company that also included the Robert Mondavi winery.
ETIQUETTE: THE PROPER WAY TO PLAY THE PUZZLES
Well, perhaps I am a purist, but my big pet peeve is a new cap coming out and
having the first person looking at it, yelp out the answer! This ends the fun
for everyone. So, the rule we all play by is once you have the answer, you
simply say "GOT IT!" and pass the cap.
Then, once everyone has figured the puzzle out or gives up, the answers can
be said aloud.
MYSTERIOUS PUZZLE #66
Puzzle #66 has the answer "Bob Clayton". If you strain your memory, perhaps you will remember a gameshow called Concentration, which was based on similar rebus style puzzles. Bob Clayton was the host.
